KTI - SAUTER Hot air silo heaters (OLH)

The KTI – SAUTER hot air units (OLH) are used in a concrete plant to heat silos in winter. Aggregates such as gravel and sand are circulated around the silo with hot air of up to 150 °C and heated until the desired temperature is reached.

The hot air is completely free of pollutants, exhaust gases or corrosion-promoting substances.

Likewise, the KTI – SAUTER hot air unit can be equipped with a steam generator to quickly defrost frozen units with the steam.

Plant information

KTI – SAUTER hot air systems (OLH) are highly compatible and can be combined with all types of silos: Star silos, tower silos or row silos – everything is possible and the individual requirements of all concrete producers are fulfilled. All hot air units consist of a solid frame and a completely welded steel housing. The housing is equipped with an internal High temperature insulation equipped and offers the best sound and heat insulation. The fresh air is supplied in a very robust heating coil which is made of heat-resistant, high-alloy steel. The Maintenance is accessible via a mesh on the front Extremely simple. A High pressure fan draws in the fresh air via a Silencer from the environment. This is then first forced through the heating coil before it is discharged via insulated air duct the hot air into the silos reaches the silo. The air flow is ensured by a flap control system and perfectly distributed by nozzles integrated in the silos. automatic air flap control offers the possibility to program in freely selectable work and time programs. All hot air systems are available as stand-alone, independent units for installation in buildings or as containerized solutions. They are equipped with LO-NOx burner equipped with different fuels can be operated – biodiesel, biogas are available in addition to the classic fuels. Most often, a hot air system (OLH) is used in Combination with a hot water system (HWS) for heating the feed water are installed together. KTI - Insight

With our hot air plant OLH, aggregates and sand are brought to temperature with clean heated air. This is not only safe, but also protects the silos and concrete mixing plant, as there are no substances that promote corrosion. It is also future-proof!

The OLH is mostly combined with a HWS for hot water production. Both together fit perfectly into one container, which is a space-saving setup. This combination is unbeatable in flexibility! Both systems can also be operated independently of each other.
