KTI - SAUTER CombiWater (CW)
With the KTI – SAUTER CombiWater, you can produce ice water and hot water – with just one system.
Advantage for our customers from the construction industry: they can cool the concrete in summer and heat it in winter, as perfectly tempered addition water is always available all year round.
Plant information
The entire system technology of the KTI CombiWater is installed in a 20-foot ISO container. This allows for a Fast commissioning in a very confined space. It is possible to switch between winter and summer mode: Winter mode In winter mode, cold water is heated. With an inlet temperature of 10°C, the KTI CombiWater reaches a hot water temperature of up to 55°C. The fresh concrete temperature can thus be raised by approx. 11 K. Summer mode In summer mode, warm water is cooled down considerably. With an inlet temperature of 21°C, the KTI CombiWater achieves a cold water temperature of less than 1°C, so-called ice water. Here, as with our ice water systems, the special ice water basin is used. The fresh concrete temperature can thus be lowered by approx. 5 K. In addition to the KTI CombiWater, an insulated water tank is available that can store both hot water and ice water.

The principle of the heat pump
The KTI – SAUTER CombiWater is based on the principle of a heat pump and is equipped with technical refinements for the production of ice water. The hot water is thereby generated emission-free unlike the usual water heaters used in concrete tempering. In summer, the KTI – SAUTER CombiWater is absolutely on a par with a KTI ice water system. In winter, the cycle is reversed to generate cooling power. Heat continues to be extracted from the environment and supplied to the water. As a result, the water warms up.
